Estoy muy feliz y agradecida de haber recibido una mención honorífica por mi proyecto "Universe Statement" en la exposición “Revisión 2024. Fotógrafos de Nuevo León” (▰˘◡˘▰)
Este proyecto toma como base temas contemporáneos sobre la astrofísica y el universo, pero desde una perspectiva intuitiva y sensible. Es a partir de metáforas especulativas que integran lo irónico y lo humorístico, que la propuesta ofrece una visión complementaria a la narrativa científica formalista. Las imágenes creadas no solo exploran la visión de la expansión humana en el cosmos, sino que también invitan a pensar sobre nuestras cosmovisiones y sincretismos, a la par de cuestionarlo todo constantemente.
El proyecto se creó completamente en mi estudio, donde me enfoqué en procesos análogos: construí dioramas cósmicos desde cero, con maquetas de montañas, planetas y constelaciones. Utilizando fotografía análoga y digital, experimenté con iluminación, humo, filtros de lentes y negativos con efectos integrados en los rollos.

I am happy and grateful to have received an honorable mention for my project "Universe Statement" at the “Revision 2024. Photographers of Nuevo León” exhibition (▰˘◡˘▰).
This project is based on contemporary themes in astrophysics and the universe, approached from an intuitive and sensitive perspective. By using speculative metaphors that integrate irony and humor, the proposal offers a complementary view to the formal scientific narrative. The images created not only explore the vision of human expansion into the cosmos but also invite reflection on our worldviews and syncretisms, while constantly questioning everything.
The project was entirely created in my studio, where I focused on analog processes: building cosmic dioramas from scratch, with models of mountains, planets, and constellations. Using both analog and digital photography, I experimented with lighting, smoke, lens filters, and negatives with integrated effects.

Thanks to Ingrid Hernandez for her amazing curating, the jurors for recognizing my work, and Conarte for their ongoing support of art and culture in our state. Having spaces where we can freely express ourselves and share our work is a privilege.
