A rare and vibrant orange fungus emerged from the charred remains of a burned tree, a unique contrast against the blackened wood left by wildfires in Santiago, N.L., Mexico. Ecosystems struggle to recover—yet in their wake, they also create space.
This aerial photography series showcases the Sierra Madre Oriental in Mexico, highlighting its rugged landscapes. I applied a pale pink-gray color grading to create soft tones that evoke a dreamy atmosphere, making the mountains appear like a distant, unfamiliar world. This approach blends raw geological features with ethereal hues, creating a surreal and otherworldly ambiance.
I participated with two pieces from the “Unquiet Inner Cosmos” series, where I explored the relationship between the macro and microcosm. The works, created on Fuji Instax, were intervened with fire and later captured through macro photography. I invited the viewer to experience the pieces both from a distance and up close, revealing new details from each perspective.

Este proyecto toma como base temas contemporáneos sobre la astrofísica y el universo, pero desde una perspectiva intuitiva y sensible. Es a partir de metáforas especulativas que integran lo irónico y lo humorístico, que la propuesta ofrece una visión complementaria a la narrativa científica formalista. Las imágenes creadas no solo exploran la visión de la expansión humana en el cosmos, sino que también invitan a pensar sobre nuestras cosmovisiones y sincretismos, a la par de cuestionarlo todo constantemente.
